Welcome to my DIaVC Blog!

Well hello there!
I see you found the way to my blog. Let me tell you what to expect from this blog.
But first I would like to introduce myself. I am Axez. I am a graduate student in information technologies. I like coding. And I like coding coders.
The purpose of this blog is to share my experiences with image and video compression techniques. So my plan is to get a large series of little and easy to follow explanations for the elements of common coding algorithms. However, I don't want to dig into details with these explanations. I will mostly leave out the maths behind all of it. My goal is that by the point you are done reading one of my articles about a technique you are able to comprehend what is going on there. Basically I want to raise your interest in the field of visual data compression so that hopefully you will have as much fun as I do writing these articles.

If however, I am not explaining with enough detail, or you feel you cannot follow, or my english simply sucks, feel free to drop me a line (via comment or email). I would truly appreciate any kind of feedback!

You can start browsing the articles I finished by clicking one of the buttons in the bar below the title. Notice that this page is a WIP and I will fill the missing links as I finish drawing illustrations and writing the articles. Bookmark the page and check back often!

Sincerely,
Axez D. Nyde
